Assalamu Alaikum wa Rahmatu Allah wa Barakatuh All praises are due to Allah who is the giver of all blessings and who alone grants success. With the wide range of communication tools available, there is a duty to utilize them in order to spread the knowledge. As a student of knowledge, I feel the responsibility to share what I’ve learned. Everything I have learned and continue to learn is due to Allah’s grace and mercy and then to my father. For it was at his knees where I learnt the Qur’an with understanding; and it was he who planted the light in my heart for this religion of Islam, which continues to light my way today. May Allah shower His mercy upon him. And I must express my unending gratitude to my dear mother, who shows me how to love and live Islam everyday. May Allah grant her the best in this world and in the next. This site will consist of audio lectures, videos, and articles I have written and compiled over the years. Regarding the articles, it is my humble effort to help the non-Arabic speaking individuals benefit from the fruit of the noble scholars, whose books were written in the Arabic language. I pray that you find benefit in it. Lastly, I thank everyone who has been persistent in requesting that I build this website, for it was an inspiration that will reap a multitude of rewards, Insha’Allah. I only ask that whoever finds benefit in my work to please join me in making dua for all those who have inspired me, encouraged me, and taught me throughout the years. And with Allah lies all success. May the peace and blessings be upon His noble Messenger, sallAllahu alayhi wasallam, and upon his family and followers. Newest Articles |

The issue of entering into the month of Ramadan has caused a lot of endless arguments, and time spent in extensive research, in trying to prove theories and opinions. From these opinions there are some who follow the moon sighting in Makkah, some who follow the sighting of the closest Islamic country, some who follow any Islamic country, and some who follow local sighting. What is the solution?
I have translated Al-'Aql as "intelligence" for lack of a better word, but the actual meaning is related but quite different. Allah Most High said: "Thus Allah makes clear to you His signs that perchance you may understand." Al-Baqarah: 242
The meaning of hayaa is the restraining of oneself from an action for fear of doing something blameworthy. According to the hadith of the Prophet (sas), hayaa is a praiseworthy attribute. On the authority of Ibn Umar: The Prophet (sas) came upon a man who was criticizing his brother for hayaa, saying: 'You are so modest (or so shy).' as if he meant to say that this has harmed him. The Prophet (sas) said to him: 'Leave him, for hayaa is from faith.'.Al-Bukhari
Lying, where it is not allowed (and there are only a few exceptions where it is allowed) is a heinous sin and puts one in grave danger of corruption, hypocrisy and even kufr. It is a "slippery slope" to all manner of corruption and a character flaw from which it is difficult to return. Fellow Muslims, search within yourself and rid yourself of all forms of lying, deception and falsehood. Make sure that truthfulness is victorious over falsehood in your heart at all times. Allah does not guide one who is a liar.
The origin of the word is khamara which means to conceal or cover. Wine made from the juice of grapes or dates was first called this because of the way it "covers" or impairs intelligence and sense. The general category is all things which are muskir (from sakara which means to block) the best translation of which is "intoxicants".
